As you expand your coaching tool bag, you need to consider your budget and how these great tools will be used.

I’m really big on station workouts.  If you use stations, you can buy just a few pieces of lots of things and then use them all.  But use them.  

Your swimmers and coaches may have a steep learning curve when you introduce something new, like Tempo Trainers or parachutes, but once you get past the learning stage, the benefits can be enormous.

For example, with 6 Tempo Trainers, 1 rope, and two mirrors, you can run an effective practice where you have stations set up for those items, plus another station or two for swimmers doing a kick set with fins, or a pull set with parachutes, or a straight swim set.  

The swimmers change stations every 10 or 15 minutes and that becomes a really fun and effective practice.
